In the last days of April some persons from Poland and Ukraine (Alina,
Agnieszka, Magda, Tetyana, Lena; and 2 participants of "Memory and
Oblivion" project: Ania and Monika) visited Jugow. It's a pity that we
didn't meet German participants there - but neither Jessica nor Tekla
unfortunately couldn't come.
We visited our interviewees from former project - and these meetings was
very nice and touching. Generally people in Jugow have very positive
attitude towards "Jugow" movie, and all our ladies-responders are proud
of their participation in it. The movie is in libraries in Jugow and
Nowa Ruda, and it is borrowed very often.
During three nice and warm days we visited almost all our responders
(one in the hospital - Ms Helena Grzesik, but in some days she will
return home), and made 3 new interviews with 4 women coming to Jugow
from Ukraine: Stefania Kowalczyk, Kazimiera Lawrynowicz @ Anna Dlugosz,
Eugenia Golaszewska. We asked them concretely about their life on
Ukraine: homes and families, styles of life, childhood, schools,
Polish-Ukrainian relations, lifestyle of Ukrainian inhabitants and so
on. Interviews are very interesting and we received a lot of new
detailles and comments on the theme of our project.
In the same time also Liliya had the project activity: she was in Krasne and Busk. She talked with Roman Catholic priest and local authorities. They promised their help with our project. 6th of June there will be celebration in honour of displacements in Busk.
She met also Greek Orthodox priest. He told, that people displaced from Poland brought from their village a brick, which they build in the orthodox church in Busk for commemoration and transfer their spiritual bond with former life. She also found the street in Busk, where majority of inhabitants are displaced people.
