Bojana Barlovac is a PhD candidate at the Belgrade University’s Faculty of Political Science (Culture and Media department). She spent a year as visiting scholar at the University of Tennessee, US, specially focusing on gender studies and media. Along with studying, she has been working as news reporter for some of the biggest media outlets in Serbia – TV B92 and Fox Television. Since 2009, she is Serbia’s correspondent for Balkan Investigative Reporting Network, BIRN. Furthermore, she is engaged as lecturer at web journalism seminars at a Serbian journalists’ association. She is the author of several research projects and book chapters. Her work and studies have been awarded several times -- by the OSCE Mission to Serbia, The Eurobank EFG, as well as by the country’s and Belgrade’s government.
