Geschichtswerkstatt Europa projects explore the question: how does a European remembrance culture arise? The starting point for the investigation is the assumption that Europe can be seen today as a communicative space of widely differing remembrance cultures defined not only by unity and harmony, but by difference and a diversity of voices. The objective of the international project is to discern the dissonances and harmonies amidst this cacophony.
