After a summerblogsilence as to our project we are here to confirm, that the project is still going on! A couple of days ago the german consul general from Wrocław visited the synagogue in Dzierzoniow for the first time. This visit the foundation Beiteinu Chaj took as an opportunity to invite friends of the synagogue and everyone interested, trees were planted, speeches given, dances danced and our project team took the whole event as opportunity to present some photographs of the synagogue, showing the building during the years.
On the blogfoto you can see three pictures giving an idea of how the building looked from inside, while there were still wooden boards instead of windows. You can also see students cleaning the place and besides all that the picture tells You about the fact that visitors who came could enjoy a cup of hot soup.
31st October is in sight - quite an motivation so soon there will be more to read about the Jewish Yishuv of Dzierżoniów / Reichenbach / Rychbach.
