Well, some weeks ago I promised short realease from the second part of Krzyż workshop, but several events took place in between - for example my daughter was born a month ago - so please forgive this delay;)
As I already wrote, sometimes the project itself makes you change your plans. Because during the first part of our workshop people were not so interested or not so courageous to conduct interviews, we moved towards photographic history. As result, some 50 new postcards from various collections appeard on our website:

Besides, I was invited to the local primary school, where I gave short presentation about Krzyż history to the children from the history interest group. I focused on the aspect of everyday history, trying to show that each grandparents are kind of 'historical source'. Hopefully it will work and the kids will talk more to their grandparents - it seems that they liked the presentation.
Still, two interviews were conducted by the workshop participants, and some more two-three are expected. It is for us to decide whether they will be uploaded on the website, as so far people interviewed came to Krzyż much later than 1945, so their stories are quite different fro mthese already uploaded in the internet. But for sure they will be deposited -with all others - in the local library in Krzyż.

So the next element of our project is over. We had our workshop in Krzyż last Tuesday. It was succesful, but a little bit different than we expected - and let me explain, why. Ania and Kuba have had an excellent start and are already done with recording the most part of their interviews. Their main advantage is that they have most people of their target group still living in Krzyz. The workshop for the young people will take place on the 14th and 21st of september. The youth will be equipped with digital recording...
