Das ehemalige NKWD-Gebäude in der Altstadt von Odessa

Nikolaj Nikolajewitsch zeigte uns auch das ehemalige NKWD-Gebäude neben dem Schevtschenko-Park in Odessa. Dort verhörte und folterte man die unschuldig Verhafteten in den 30er Jahren. Im Keller des Gebäudes, in dem sich ein Gefängnis befand, wurden die zu Tode Verurteilten erschossen. Ihre Leichen wurden nachts u.a. zum "Sechsten Kilometer" gebracht und dort verscharrt.

Nikolaj Nikolajewitsch did also show us the former building of the NKWD near the Schevtschenko-Park in Odessa. In this building innocently arrested people were interrogated and often tortured in the 1930ies. Those who had been sentenced to death were shot in the prison that was located in the cellar of the building. At night the corpses were brought among others to the "Sixth Kilometer" where they were hastily buried.
